The serum cortisol response to CRH in two patients with Cushing's syndrome.
In the patient with pituitary-dependent disease the characteristic marked plasma cortisol rise after an intravenous bolus of I OOmg of CRH is seen. Serum cortisol levels are unaltered in the patient with ectopic ACTH.
